Roger Dale Lanius age 65 of Cottontown passed away Thursday February 11, 2010. Funeral service will be Saturday February 13th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Charles Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Halltown Cemetery with Fred Lanius, Gene Lanius, Arnold Lanius, Donald Lanius, Ricky Lanius, Terry Nolen, Ralph Lee and Doug Brown serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday February 12th 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Lanius was born in Davidson County, Tennessee, May 25, 1944, son of the late Fred H. and Violet M. Cantrell Lanius and was a member of the Indian Hills Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Judy of Cottontown, one son, Nolen Lanius of Cottontown, three daughters; Sandy (William) Corbitt of CA, Tammie Creech of Cottontown, Penny (Michael) Young of Ashland City, step sons Timmy (Carla) Link and Steve (Kelly) Graves all of Cottontown, five brothers; Fred (Pat) Lanius of Greenbrier, Gene (Shelia) Lanius of Cottontown, Arnold (Pallie) Lanius of Goodlettsville, Donald Lanius of Goodlettsville and Ricky (Helen) Lanius of Goodlettsville, four sisters; Billie Jean (Charles) Walker of Barlett, TN, Judy (Ralph) Lee of Arrington, TN, Tonya Shelton of Hendersonville, and April (Steve) Williams of Nolensville, TN, eleven grandchildren; Tyler Lanius, Taylor Lanius, Brooke Mangrum, Jaden Young, Gabriel Young, Michaela Young, Caleb Graves, Ethan Graves, Spencer Graves, Alexis Link and Gavin Link and one great grandchild Aubrey Lanius.
