Ruby Carter Shoulders age 93 was born July 28, 1916 and departed this life on February 19, 2010. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by husband Ernest Shoulders, daughter Carol Roby (Cecil Roby), daughter-in-law Libby Shoulders, and parents. She will be remembered by two sons Ricky Shoulders and wife Phyllis and Harold Shoulders for her undying love, caring ways and constant attention; sister Lena Streu for her compassionate understanding, endless guidance and a sister’s love. She will be remembered by her grandchildren Lisa Linville (Timothy), Chrise Stafford (Thomas) and Tammy Shoulders (David) for always being there for them. She will be missed by her great grandchildren Brittany Stover, September Crook, Allison Bentley and Hannah Bentley. She will be missed by her new Great-great grandchild Bradley Carter. She was one of ten children by Fred and Suzie Beal carter. Ruby was a hard working Christian who has been called away from this life. She was saved and baptized at the young age of 12 and was a member of Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Dean Linville officiating. Visitation will be Saturday February 20th 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday February 21st 12:00 p.m. until service time.
