FAMILY HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME LOCATION
Charles Norman Green age 95 of Gallatin passed away Friday February 19, 2010. Funeral service will be Sunday February 21st at 3:30 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Saturday February 20th 4:00 – 8:00 pm. and Sunday 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will be on Monday February 22nd at 12:00 p.m. from Sumner Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Green was born on January 14, 1915 in Madison, Indiana son of the late Harvey and Carrie James Green. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Harold Green and a sister Thelma King. Charles was a painter by trade and will be remembered after his retirement as the “rocking horse man” having made many rocking horses for children. He also served in the Navy during WW II on the USS Memphis. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Frances Green of Gallatin, two step-sons Tony (Rita) Roark of Valley, Alabama, and Phil (Wanda) Roark of Gallatin, one brother Elbert (Susie) Green of Greensburg, Indiana, five step-grandchildren; Tyler Way, Paul Wayne Way, Cliff (Jeannie) Pond, Jennifer Conner, Tyler Roark, nieces Mickey (Dave) Sporleder of North Vernon, Indiana, Vicky (Mario) Gutano of Columbus, Indiana, Deana (Bruce) Hamer of Greensburg, Indiana, and nephews, Richard Green of Murfreesboro, TN, and John (Gail) King of Dilla Rica, Georgia, Online condolences may be submitted at www.familyheritagefh.com.
