FAMILY HERITAGE FUNERAL LOCATION
Herbert Bates age 85 of Gallatin passed away Tuesday March 2, 2010. Funeral service will be Thursday March 4th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Father Pete Minton and Jeremy Bates officiating. Interment will follow in the Bush’s Chapel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday March 3rd 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 11:00 a.m. until service time. He was preceded in death by his wife Burgess Bates and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Herbert A. Bates. He is survived by three sons; Herbert Arden Bates, Jr. and wife Michelle of Portland, John Bates of Cookeville and Daniel Bates and wife Carol of Cookeville, three grandchildren; Heather Allison and husband Mike of Castalian Springs, Jeremy Bates and wife Tammy of Gallatin and Jonathan Bates of Kenosha, WI and four great grandchildren; Shelly Allison, Michael Thompson, Tommy and Nicholas Bates.
