Scott Hensley of Gallatin, TN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 26, 2010 while waging a courageous battle against colorectal cancer. Scott was born in Oak Ridge, TN. to the late James Clayton and Mattie Starr Hensley
Scott was a wonderful father and grandfather, gracious and loyal friend and loving husband. He will always be remembered for his charismatic personality and wonderful sense of humor. Scott graduated from Frayser High School in Memphis TN and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Memphis State University. He was employed by the State of Tennessee for over 35 years and Assistant Director of Tax Enforcement for the Department of Revenue.
Scott is survived by his wife of 20 years Claudia; his sons and step son, David (wife Christie), Andrew (wife Catherine) and Ben (wife Michelle); and eight grandchildren, Johnathan, Jake, Garrett, Carter, Alexander, Taylor, Joslyn, and Riley
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Monday, July 5, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Home, 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin TN. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 12 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Alexander Funeral Home.
