James N. Reed age 78 of Gallatin passed Monday July 5, 2010. Mr. Reed was cremated and the family will have a memorial service Saturday July 10th at 4:00 p.m. from the First Free Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Douglas officiating. He was born in Dyer County, Tennessee on April 15, 1932 son of the late William Elmer Reed and Nellie Aleane Whitson Reed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Taylor Reed, grandson Jason Marshall, brother Willie Claude Reed and four sisters; Polly Ring, Martha Willis, Mac Reed and Aleane Reed. He is survived by his children; Donnie Reed and wife Betty of Portland, Charles Reed and wife Beth of Portland, Mack Reed and wife Kim of Bethpage, Carol Manuel and husband Billy of Westmoreland, Aleane Harding and husband Terry of Gallatin and Angela Wells and husband Bob of Gallatin, 11 grandchildren; Travis Reed, Corey Reed, Amy Reed, Dakota Reed, Casey Reed, Justin Reed, Ashley Marshall, Terry Lee Harding, Amy Harding Jones and husband Craig, Savannah Summers and Ian Wells and one great grandson Hunter Jones.
