Robert Dewey Brooks age 68 of Bethpage passed away Wednesday July 7, 2010. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 10th from Family Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Brother Dean Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Bridge Cemetery with Steven Brooks, Matt Madison, Charles Brooks, Raymond Brooks, Harold Brooks and Danny Brooks serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday July 8th from 1:00-8:00 p.m., and Friday July 9th from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Mr. Brooks was born August 13, 1941 son of the late Floyd Richard Brooks, Sr. and Fannie Moss Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Floyd Richard Brooks, Jr., James Brooks, Howard Brooks and Herman Brooks and one sister Georgia B. Coker. He is survived by one son Ricky Brooks and wife Jennifer of Bethpage, two grandsons Charles and Ryan Brooks, three brothers Melvin Brooks of Westmoreland, Eugene Brooks and Larry Brooks both of Bethpage and three sisters Elizabeth Marritta of Red Boiling Springs, Marie Pryor and Martha Hodges both of Gallatin.
